A New Month for Traveling our Nation Trip

A NEW DAY AND MONTH
IT IS GREAT TO BE ALIVE AND WELL!
There is nothing better than waking up with a smile on your face each morning because you are with the one you love and get to start out the day once again.

Arriving late last night to the Silver Slipper, St. Louis, MS. we parked immediately.  We knew we were by water and the casino was not all that busy.  We walked in hungry.  Then we found the only restaurant that was open, a buffet, hmmm.  We are not big fans of buffets but what the heck, we will try it.  Oh my gosh, it was great.  Fresh Crab both hot and cold.  A wonderful salad and fruit bar.  Prime Rib RARE and tasty!   Shrimp on ice all you can eat and it kept on coming with no end in sight.  More and more people were arriving late at night which was a huge surprise to us.  The locals must know when to come and enjoy a meal.  As for gambling, we had fun and lost $10.00 between the two of us.  Not bad!

  Early morning Sunrise!

We are off to an early start and we are taking the roads next to the Gulf of Mexico!

(While writing this posting, our hearts and loving thoughts go out to all of the people who are in the path of Isaac.  Please stay safe and do the necessary emergency procedures.)
Beautiful day for traveling.  Just look at the following pictures that we were able to take while traveling through the Gulf of Mexico in the states of Mississippi through Alabama.

The homes across from the water.

 This signs says it all.
Waveland City Limit, MS

Beautiful homes!

So pretty and clean!  A wonderful place to visit.

Garfield Ladner Memorial Pier, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi was a little to difficult to take our truck towing our trailer on to it, but we loved being as close as we were to it. Another place to visit in the future!  We always have to have a reason to come back to visit, so this is one place on our list! (of course more to come!)

This was just one of the foundations that was left over from hurricane Katrina - there were HUNDREDS of just foundations or empty lots...how sad.

These people are building up the shore for high tides and all along the beaches we saw these piles of sand and heavy duty vehicles to make it safer for the homes across the street from the beach.

We found the perfect spot to stop!

The park before the beach with a sculptured tree.

Wow, tracks going out to the ocean!

Those tracks are going out to the far side of an island!

Now you can see just how those tracks are connecting from one side of the beach to the other side of this community.   We didn't see a sign to tell you the name of this specific place, sorry.

We are in Harrison County Sand Beach, in Bay St. Louis, Ms. enjoying every single mile of this beautiful coastline.

SR just could not wait to get to the water!  Running just like a little kid.

Being careful not to get fully immersed into the Gulf of Mexico off the coastline of Mississippi, she went out into the shallow waters.  It really was a distance from the beach.

Then when PC said, watch out for possible predators!  SR said, what?  PC said Sharks!
That was all she needed to hear and ran back as fast as she ran into the water, LOL!

Really?
Nah, it was way to shallow and wouldn't I see it?
You can answer that yourself.

Time to clean off that warm and beautiful white sand off the feet and legs.  Pretty cool to have a shower on the outside of our trailer.

PC made sure that SR had all of the conveniences available for cleaning off.

More beautiful pictures to the walking beaches from people's homes.

We really love this side of our Nation, the beaches are clean, not crowded with warm water to play.  Big difference from the cool to cold water off of California coastlines where we grew up.

Boats!  Marina!  Clean and smells great!

We have not taken our boat into the ocean and now we are just thinking about it for another trip in the future.  Saltwater engine, hmmm, that is our dilemma on whether or not we want to place our freshwater boat into saltwater.

While PC fills up the tank it was when SR took the pictures of the marina!   This gas station is the prettiest gas station we've ever been to.

The building is just across the street from the gas station, on the road where the fresh shrimp store and restaurant are located that shares the marina!

Continuing our travels, there is a person walking onto their West Side Pier that goes on the beach and ends at the water.  Look at the white sands, amazing and absolutely gorgeous!

Lighthouse! (Not a real one.)

Oh my goodness!  They have beach tables and toys available for people to enjoy on this beach!

Now we are entering Biloxi City Limits now.

Look at the toys here for beachgoers!

Lighthouse! (A real one.)

There is blue water in between the beaches!

A really neat shipyard!
Wow!

Now we are guided onto the freeway system automatically.

Tunnel Ahead!!!

We are in the tunnel.
Where's the water?

Battleship!  The Alabama.

We have arrived to our destination area, Foley, Alabama!
Our friends live here and we are on our way to the RV Park.
 Pretty!

We called our friends to confirm our arrival and plans to meet up tomorrow.  Done!  Our friends suggested us to go visit an area that is not to far from where we will be staying.

Just beautiful and they were so right to tour around this area, it is gorgeous.

Our friends moved from Virginia to Alabama, they made a wonderful choice.  Cool to Cold to warm beautiful beaches!

This is beautiful!

How many times did we say "beautiful" - it is!  Look at this beach!  Clean white sands that is warm to the bottom of your feet.  The water is warm, blue and smells good.

We like it, can you tell?

See y'all soon.  (gettin' good and lovin' this Southern beauty!)
