Exploring the Desert

Come with us for a ride!
Miles and Miles of beautiful desert!

There are plenty of ATV trails to ride on and we are so fortunate to be able to have this privilege and freedom to explore our Nation and deserts!
To some people they only see a deserted desert, to us we see the peaceful beauty of the land.  The formations of the mountains and the geology of our earth.  I'm so happy that my PC knows so much to share these fascinating moments of our trip.  Beside the natural habitat there were the hard-working miners from years and years ago in our history who were in the making of mining for Silver.  In fact, on this trip we saw signs placed for where there was going to be a 60 miles radius reserved for mining and warning signs not to disturb the area that has been designated.
History is still in the making as of today and hopefully it will be successful again in their mining adventures!

This is one large cactus that is blooming with flowers.  A great time to be out in the desert to see this miracle of living nature at its best.  I don't care for cacti because it is rare for them to bloom and when they do bloom it is for a very short time.  So I don't get to enjoy the beauty all year round like many other species of plants and trees.  Besides, most cacti hurt if they are accidentally touched!

The tops of this cactus has yellow and white flowers.
It was pretty difficult to get this picture because of the size of this incredible and very old cactus.  I'm so please that I was able to witness this very short blooming time.

There are more adventures to come from this trip so be sure to visit again really soon.
