Changing of the Seasons

It is just so beautiful to look right outside of our front door to see this gorgeous burnt-red colored Ash Tree!

Here is a close-up of the tree and the winter yellow flowers that are popping up!

As you look from our front porch you can see that our plants are starting to get ready for the winter season.

Next week, we are supposed to drop an additional 20º from where we are now - 37º 7:00AM, 68º 11:00AM - possibly our high could reach in the 70's for the afternoon then we start to drop in the evening again!

We have not had our yard water on for just about two weeks now.  There has been some rain, okay we did have a lot of rain a couple of times.  Also we had several early morning lows of 26º (from 1AM through 6AM) and that is our warning to get ready for our yearly Shut The Water Off or freeze your pipes!

Today, we are going to blowout our sprinkler systems so we will be sure not to have frozen lines.  We certainly did learn our lesson a few years ago.  Unfortunately, not everyone in our Valley learned their lesson the first time like we did in 2007 - I guess that is one way to have the economy grow with the plumber and garden industry!  We hope not to contribute that way to our economy, though.

Come back again real soon!
