Windy and Snowy 12-1-2011

To our surprise there was some snow that stayed on the house and ground.  It has been so windy (reference older post dated, 11-30-2011 "Last Day of November 2011")  ever since 11-30 and the winds have been increasing to gusts of 55mph.

Can you see the bush that is laying on its side?  Well, not only that was laying on the ground!  My beautiful lights on the tree and bush were thrown all over the place that I went out and put them back in their place.  Nothing was broken at that time!  Keep reading.
We had more snow and freezing rain with tons of heavy winds.  We heard some people did have some damage with their fences falling over, roofs shingles blowing off, chicken coop doors and compound blown down, electrical problems that affected the heat in a home, trees breaking all over our Valley including one of ours with more broken branches.  Not fun!

These pictures were taken on the first day of December and we are actually writing this posting on 12-3.  The wind has NOT stopped.  We had more snow and again, it has blown away.  It is too cold and dangerous to go outside with the wind chill of 20º and a constant wind starting at 30mph and higher!  It is 2:30PM in the afternoon right now!

Our lights again flew off of the bush and tree on 12-2!  This time there are some broken lights but I was able to go out yesterday (12-2) and wrap them a bit more securely.  When we lit up our home last night, everything was working and looking pretty again.  Who knows what is in store for us today with the WEATHER and "whether or not" we will turn the lights on tonight.

Stay tune for more interesting times with us.
Thanks for visiting us.
Stay safe, warm, in love and healthy because those are the most important things in life!
