November 2011
The Chevrolet Dealership sent out the word to the local car clubs to help them celebrate the 100th Chevrolet Anniversary the first week in November. The invitation was sent to us and while we happened to be downtown, we verified and asked if they really want us to bring our vehicle, 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. They said absolutely bring it down and we will put it into our showroom for the week. Heck, that sounded great to us so we took it down the next day. And now for our adventure for you to see!
Driving into town from our home. Check out that view!
Do you have any idea just how difficult it is to drive a stick-shift vehicle and take pictures outside the window? I only made sure to put the nice ones up, LOL.
This was fun but just wait a minute because now you will be able to see a video next.
Warning: do not put your speakers up too loud due to wind noise. When you see the STOP SIGN, turn your speakers up and just listen to the engine of the Chevelle, it is awesome! The wind noise is no longer with us or should I say as loud.
We have arrived safe and sounding great!
Okay, now turn your speakers up so you will be able to hear everything without any "wind noise" for all of the rest of the videos. You won't want to miss a word. We hope you have just as much fun as we did when we arrived and saw the showroom!
We are officially in the showroom and now the interview below!
Looking really good besides all those other Chevy vehicles.
Here is the book that the dealership had on display and we turned to the page for the 1968 cars.
Below are a couple more videos of the cars that were inside the showroom with ours. Enjoy! The next two pictures are of a gorgeous Corvette that both PC & I really admired and knew our friend, Frank would enjoy this too. He was not able to go see it in person so this is the next best thing, pictures.
During this week of celebration, the local newspaper did come down to document the Chevrolet Century Celebration and our car was mentioned along with this beautiful 1962 Corvette and the 1957 Cameo pickup! Yippee!
Classic Chevrolets from the 1930s through the 1970s were on display in the store's showroom throughout the week and additional classics including one rogue Ford were shown along the dealership's curb! Car lovers of our area enjoy all types of cars, makes and models!
Chevrolet was founded November 3, 1911
Boy oh boy, the Chevrolet vehicles sure have come a long way since 1911!
Thanks for visiting.
