Memorial Day Weekend and Remembering Always!

My family, my friends and us welcome you to the Remembrance on this Memorial Day Weekend,
May 29th and 30th, 2010.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 31st, 2010

We certainly hope you enjoy our very special posting that is dedicated to our Heroes of
yesterday, today and tomorrow.

This tribute starts off with the Civil War, my Mom's Husband, Joe's Grandpa, my Great-Grandpa.
When you are traveling free throughout our beautiful Country, perhaps you might have the opportunity as we did, to visit the Pennsylvania Monument.  If you do, you will see his name Jacob W. Abel along with many other heroes.

My Dad was a hero who served proudly from another country, Canada, which was and still is an Ally to our United States of  America!

I hope you are able to read this very special original certificate pictured below that we are honored to have in our possession which was presented to my Uncle Lee (pictured above).
Please take special notice of the signature, Secretary of the Navy, Jame Forrestal.  You might be interested in doing a Google Search on "James Forrestal," he is very important to our Nation's History!

Check out this picture!
Pretty neat ship during this time of our history, don't you think?

Father and Son, the "Son" is my Husband!
We hope you are enjoying this opportunity to learn about the years of history with our family and very dear friends who all served proudly.  We along with you, give Great Thanks to all of our Heroes of all times!
War is not pretty and these pictures are just a few to remember our history.
Please try to make an effort to always say thank you to our Heroes when we see them in person, give a hug as well.  We thank everyone and their families who keep us safe for our Future Freedom, Security and Liberty!

Both of us have been sharing with all of you our dedication to support our troops in today's times.  Our way of doing so is by making hand-made cards for our heroes to communicate with their loved ones.  Here are three different designs that I've made for our favorite organization, Operation Write Home.
This weekend is very special for Operation Write Home.  We are trying to get the word out to as many people as possible to join in the effort of supporting all of our troops, our Heroes!  If you would like to see the event that I'm involved with this weekend, please click onto this direct link below and enjoy everyone's creative contributions and stories of appreciation!  (of course, after you have visited our blog completely.)

Just in case the above direct link doesn't work the way I want it to, copy and paste this link:

Should you like to be a part of our continued effort, you are welcomed to send a monetary donation directly to Operation Write Home.  Your donation will help with the mailing and additional supplies for our Heroes.
Please scroll up to the left column of our blog.

In closing,
we've attached a picture of something we are also very proud to have!
Both License Plates that say "LOVUUSA" - yes, the vehicles have changed and perhaps the issued "state" has also changed on one plate.  Keep an eye out for these special license plates while you travel the roads of America!  You just might see us!  Most importantly, you will see a Patriot who Loves Our Country and Appreciates all of our Heroes of all times!

Love,
