We hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful!
Cheers for another blessed time in our life and yours!
We did our normal romantic and thankful Thanksgiving Dinner.
It was a lot of fun waking up in the morning and getting our dinner prepared all day long, together. The smells of delicious flavors blending together throughout our home was warm and relaxing.
Our turkey was very close to 16 pounds and it was stuffed with our terrific homemade stuffing. The side dishes were fresh steamed carrots, sweet potatoes in the shell with our own twists of flavors, gravy that is made out of all of the herbs and vegetables that was roasting with the turkey (no flour or thickening agent needed because the vegetables did it!). We had store bought biscuits that are made in 17 minutes while the turkey was resting and they were terrific!!! Not only at our dinner but fantastic for sandwiches. It was a great new item to our table. Of course, we had whole cranberry sauce and the jelly cranberry sauce for sandwiches to follow during our leftovers!
To our surprise, the young ladies in our neighborhood came over to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving and their timing couldn't have been better. We just finished our dinner and we invited them in out of the cold. Then we asked if they would take our picture. Having those beautiful 8 young girls between the ages of 10 to 13 years old was so sweet to come to our home, they never forget us!
We wanted to take their picture but since they were not dressed and in their sweats (it was cold outside and they walked a distance) they declined. Perhaps they will come back to do caroling during Christmas! If they do (they usually do), we will take pictures of them. They are the beauties of Dammeron Valley!
Thanksgiving was beautiful for us and we always wish all of you to have a thankful day each day of your lives.
Love
