This is what's left from the Flowering Pear Tree that was growing out of control in our little alcove (by the BBQ). Huge root!!!! It was a very pretty tree and grew much larger than our original plan and what we were told 10 years ago. It was getting dangerous for us to have that close to our home and it wasn't all about the fire reasons. It would bend and hit the roof so we would trim it down. It would bend and hit the windows so we would trim it again and again and again one too many times! It had to go!
Now you can see exactly where it was and my Prince Charming is working hard to get our grass back in place over the hole. All is well for now. We need to have Spring for everything to start growing.
