Wild and Crazy Kids

You never know what we are up to and guess what? We never know for sure either until the time comes! As we always say, live life to the fullest because there just isn't enough time to sweat the little stuff. Enjoy life to the fullest! Get Excited, have fun, be happy, keep smiling and stay safe!

The last time we went to New York was 2007 on our nationwide trip and the time before that was November 2005 (Thanksgiving Weekend) on a banzai trip for our 1928 Model A, specifically Buffalo, New York - in the snowy winter.

We decided to go on another banzai trip to New York this past week! Read and look on for the new adventures of PC & SR! The end of July through the first week of August. Warmer weather and so much rain!

We left Monday the 27th of July and arrived at our first rest stop.
Truck and Boat in Colorado just entering Nebraska. What lake is there? No lake, just a really nice rest stop.Arrival on Wednesday at 5:30PM EST, Brewerton, New York! Upstate New York nearby Syracuse, New York. This is a little and extremely friendly town that is so charming! The people are truly genuine and the best place to have a fantastic Italian dinner is at DG's. Thank you, Jeff, for the recommendation!

Umm, can you venture a guess as to what we might be doing in NY and having Jeff tow our boat away?
Our boat is safely secured in the lot of a boat dealer. But WHY you say? Let's hear it on the count of three! Shout it out!!!

OMG! We did it!!! We traded up for a cabin cruiser Bayliner (little yacht for us).
Of course we must go for a ride before we settle everything up. Rick is on the phone saying we arrived at the dock and now we are going out onto Lake Oneida. That brings us to Thursday morning. Please notice the beautiful blue sky! It is NOT raining.

The ride was wonderful. The boat was advertised as written with some special surprises for all of us! Thank you Rick for the great tour of Lake Oneida and of course PC piloted our little new yacht on the lake too. That sealed the deal.

Many thanks for a very enjoyable and successful win-win transaction with the sales manager Mark and the fantastic staff who all went out of their way to make us happy. Kudos to all of you and we will certainly recommend Boat Deal located in Brewerton, NY to all of our friends and family.

We are now the proud owners of a new boat for us. It is a 1999 Bayliner 2655 Cabin Cruiser. Pretty much fully loaded: Bathroom, showers (2), A/C and Heater, Stove, Microwave, GPS, Emergency Radio VHF, Stereo, Dining area which converts into a guest bed and the mid-berth (the captain's quarters and his first mate's bedroom).

Here we are towing back home, with a little detour to Pennsylvania, the adorable little town of Intercourse. Why there? Take a breath and try to stop laughing now. Well, on our Nationwide trip we stopped here and picked up an end table that we just had to have. What we didn't know at that time is that we should have purchased two end tables. Since we went all this distance what's an additional 200 miles more?

We picked up our end table and a couple of other things. We had the best lunch from the side of the road right in the middle of town! An Amish Family was selling fresh peaches, cherries, assorted melons and tons of veggies from their own farm. Including the best bar-b-que and smoked chicken! It was delicious.

We had an enjoyable trip and successful trip! We arrived home safe and sound.

We are looking forward to personalizing our little yacht. That is next on our agenda!

More pictures on our photobucket in the Album named "New York".
