Yard and Garden Fun!!!

Can you believe it?  It is August 2013 and we are posting today!!!  We have done a few things and we want to share, okay, don't get on us too much about posting since it hasn't been a priority for us.

Check out this new temporary hand-made beautiful fence!  Both of us worked together to make this a pleasing site for us.  We completed it within one morning.  Now we don't have to look at anything that is not pleasing to the eyes!
Side View looking towards the North.
Great job, don't you think?

This is our small garden that has been TRYING to grow.  We have two rows of corn that are about 2 weeks apart in growing.  Three tomato plants with one doing good and the other two are struggling a lot but still there.  Three snow pea plants that are producing but strange so we are not eating them yet.  We will wait until they are thin and smooth.

A different view of the garden.  You can see the turnips on the right side of the garden.

Several carrot plants by the way they are way to close to each other but what the heck!  It worked last time and they were sweet.  That funny looking round plant is called Spicy Hot Basil and wow!  It is exactly what it says - Spicy and Hot!!! The cilantro is very picky, if you cut some off the plant it dies quickly.  If it goes to flowers, you miss out and then it becomes a mess with seeds that you don't want!

Here are the fresh-picked turnips.  Yep, I did not thin them out so some are nice and round and some are long and kinda round. They sure do smell great!

Purple turnips.
Some of the larger than cherry tomatoes, a different variation and I can't remember the official name.
The larger normal size tomatoes are not pictured here because they didn't look all that good and we threw them into the trash!
Hopefully, the plants will start to produce since the weather is doing so much better now!

CONGRATULATIONS TO US FOR POSTING ON TIME!!!
