We're Off Exploring!

Our previous post, we mentioned and showed you what we did with our dear friends from Georgia and their Mom.  This is at Mom's (Wilma's) home.  She was kind enough to allow us to park our trailer in her side yard with an electricity hook-up.  Mom was so generous that she insisted that we use her home for all of our showers and water needs.  Therefore, we didn't have to use our trailer except to sleep.  Thank you so much Mom!
This is the patio for most entertaining purposes and just a great place to relax at her home.  The inside of her home we also enjoyed and it is absolutely beautiful and large.  The days there were so beautiful we stayed outside as much as possible on the great patio!

We didn't want to overstay our welcome so it was time to continue on our journey.
The arrival and our spot for the next several weeks!  We are all set-up and ready to go have tons of fun, relax and stay warm in Arizona desert.

This is the other side of our trailer, where we come out of the door.  We did not want to walk out on the side of the fire pit.  Also, our trailer was facing Kitchen North and Bedroom South with the sides of our trailer to get the warm sunshine in the morning on the door side and dining room table.  Mid-afternoon to evening sunshine was on the other so we did not get too hot.  It was just perfect like the saying of Goldilocks and the three bears, just right because there was never any side of us that was too hot or too cold.  Every single day was just right in our trailer!

How about a quick ride, not fast - just a nice ride around our surrounding area for our first day here?

We went up into the hills.

Up this trail road.

Great time to take pictures that include this glorious view!

It is beautiful and we just can help to smile!

On our way down and I must wear my sun protection garment "hat" to keep the sunshine off of me.  I also have special sunscreen lotion that my big brother gave me to try out.  His doctor told him about it, I showed my doctor and it was approved.  Now to see if my skin will accept it without any adverse reactions.

This is the beautiful tree right in our spot!
In this tree you must look carefully to see this wonderful sounding bird which is called a Fly Catcher.  It was a pleasure to share the beautiful tree with this particular bird.  He sang through the day and when we were out at night, he sang a soft song when we were outside.

Can you see something on this tree branch?
This is the other tree in our spot and we thought it looked like a dragon.  What do you think?

With the thought of the dragon, we decided to have our first campfire.

Now that is one heck of a flame!

You can clearly see who is really happy about this lovely campfire!

The above picture is with the flash on the camera.
This picture above is without the flash on the camera!

Another view with the flash. Amazing hallow log so it is burning with fabulous colors and designs.

How about a short movie for the full effect of this fire for you to experience yourself?

Just click onto it and have your sound at the level to hear the words and crackling of the fire.
Here is another movie, it is shorter and different.

We are just so pleased.  I hope we are able to find another log similar to this one.  We will keep our eyes open each day we go for a ride.
The smoke was so little and it did not come close to us or our trailer.  The warmth of the fire was so welcomed to us because as you know, the desert does get cold after the sunsets.  Warm mornings, pleasant afternoons and cool to cold evenings.  We will continue to have as many fires as we can.

As for our dragon in our tree looking over us, we think it was a wonderful omen to have the best campfires!  Thanks to the dragon ~ Cheers!  Of course before retiring for the evening, we always made sure our campfire was safely out.

Another wonderful part of our nature entertainment was to enjoy the night sky.  We were fortunate during our trip that most nights were clear.  A few nights had clouds but not many.  This is one of our favorite night sky feature to share.  We took a movie of it and please remember, it is up high into the night sky.

Be sure to click onto the video below, the same way you did it on the previous ones.  Thanks!

A still picture of the night sky.
Amazingly beautiful; isn't?
