80 Years Young!

How many people do you know who are celebrating their 80th Birthday?
Jake and Ginny
Let's celebrate!
Happy Birthday to you...
Happy Birthday to you...
(Sing along)
Happy Birthday to Dear Jake...
Happy 80th Birthday to you!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a grand celebration in the hills of Tucson, Arizona, at one of Jake's kid's home - Kathy and Paul.  The evening was filled with bright stars and the air was filled with, hmmm, let's not go there shall we!  There was plenty of delicious food and drinks, family and friends - did we mention to you he has 20 kids?  No?  Oh that is because it is only 8 kids who are now all adults and living all over the country.  Unfortunately, three of his children were not able to come to the party but were thinking about him.  We know because they called all through the week and weekend.
Many of his friends were there, like us, but we do not call him "Pop" - we call him Jake.  I guess we could call him "Pop" he is old enough, LOL.  Just teasing and having lots of fun loving words to make the moment last.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a family picture with everyone facing you and smiling?  Well, this is the best one that I was able to take so enjoy it, we did!
The family surrounding Jake, Wife, Daughters, Sons, Son-in-laws and wait a minute, who is that peeking in?  Wow, that is my Prince Charming!!!  Of course, it is.  PC is the closest and most loved friend of all to Jake and Ginny.  He has to be in the picture!  I'm there too, behind the camera, LOL.
After the celebration and the weekend frenzy of gatherings, it was time for the so longs... sad but true.  Is it really all that sad?  It depends on who you ask.

All in all, memories will last forever and Jake has many happy memories to relive over and over again...

The actual day of Jake's 80th Birthday, we took him and Ginny out for a very nice and quiet dinner at one of their favorite places near their home in Green Valley.  Jake enjoyed his favorite meal, Liver and Onions!
We went back to their home for another peaceful evening of conversation amongst good friends to end the birthday celebration as that will be our last evening together until the next time we all get together.
Of course, waiting for us is Morgan.  What a sweet doggy she is and we know that she brings many happy moments to both Jake and Ginny throughout their day.  Heck, Morgan makes everyone happy she comes in contact with!

Thanks for visiting and celebrating with us.  Take care and enjoy life to the fullest, please!
